Be Bothered About Your Nails

By Martha Winslet People throughout the world and over the ages have a fascination to maintain a fashionable nail. But the basic fact is that unless the body is fit, the nails cant be attractive. Of course, there may be multiple causes for bad and affected nails. In fact there is no relation between calcium intake and the good health of nails, though many people believe so. Here are a few tips to have a beautiful and shining nails to add a feather in your overall beauty. 1. Never cut your nails by teeth. Its simply unhygienic. Moreover, because of this habit, various layers of nail get separated; edge of the nails look ugly and even the roots of nails turn out to be defective. 2. Because of folding in both ends, and also for continuous water contact, sometimes, there may happen infection of bacteria and fungus which generates puss in the nails with accompanying pain. 3. Anemia also causes bad nails and it requires immediate medical intervention. 4. Uninterrupted use of nail polish gives rise to roughness in the nails. Dermatitis, particularly irritant dermatitis is too much disturbing; hence always use quality products instead of cheap varieties for beautifying nails. 5. Always cut your nails in proper interval, but never cut it too deep. 6. Dont allow filth to accumulate inside the nails. Besides causing stomach problem it may lead to rough, discolored and fragile nails. 7. Those who have to work incessantly with water for a longer time, may use oil or cream concurrently to get the palm and nail prevented from dermatitis. Rubber gloves are also helpful in this regard. 8. Wavy ridges in the nails appear because of stress, illness and during pregnancy. Clinical treatment may be helpful to get rid of the problem. 9. Drying nail plate causes lackluster appearance. Sometimes the nails are broken lengthwise. 10. Because of fungus and infection there may appear black spots on the nail. Nail bleaching is much helpful to regain the natural shining of the nails. http://www.jobntradeinfinity.com http://medical-transcription.jobntradeinfinity.com http://www.palnraj.blogspot.com Note: You are at liberty to display this article on your blogs, article sites, website or wherever you intend to do so, provided the immediate upper portion is left lawfully in tact. The Truth About Counting Calories And Weight Loss

By Tom Venuto Do calories matter or do you simply need to eat certain foods and that will guarantee youll lose weight? Should you count calories or can you just count portions? Is it necessary to keep a food diary? Is it unrealistic to count calories for the rest of your life or is that just part of the price you pay for a better body? Youre about to learn the answers to these questions and discover a simple solution for keeping track of your food intake without having to crunch numbers every day or become a fanatic about your food. In many popular diet books, Calories dont count is a frequently repeated theme. Other popular programs, such as Bill Phillip’s “Body For Life,” allude to the importance of energy intake versus energy output, but recommend that you count portions rather than calories Phillips wrote, “There aren’t many people who can keep track of their calorie intake for an extended period of time. As an alternative, I recommend counting ‘portions.’ A portion of food is roughly equal to the size of your clenched fist or the palm of your hand. Each portion of protein or carbohydrate typically contains between 100 and 150 calories. For example, one chicken breast is approximately one portion of protein, and one medium-sized baked potato is approximately one portion of carbohydrate.” Phillips makes a good point that trying to count every single calorie - in the literal sense - can drive you crazy and is probably not realistic as a lifestyle for the long term. It’s one thing to count portions instead of calories that is at least acknowledging the importance of portion control. However, it’s another altogether to deny that calories matter. Yes, calories do count! Any diet program that tells you, “calories don’t count” or you can “eat all you want and still lose weight” is a diet you should avoid. The truth is, that line is a bunch of baloney designed to make a diet sound easier to follow. Anything that sounds like work such as counting calories, eating less or exercising, tends to scare away potential customers! But the law of calorie balance is an unbreakable law of physics: Energy in versus energy out dictates whether you will gain, lose or maintain your weight. Period. I believe that it’s very important to develop an understanding of and a respect for portion control and the law of calorie balance I also believe it’s an important part of nutrition education to learn how many calories are in the foods you eat on a regular basis including (and perhaps, especially) how many calories are in the foods you eat when you dine at restaurants. The law of calorie balance says: To maintain your weight, you must consume the same number of calories you burn. To gain weight, you must consume more calories than you burn. To lose weight, you must consume fewer calories than you burn. If you only count portions or if you haven’t the slightest clue how many calories you’re eating, it’s a lot more likely that you’ll eat more than you realize. (Or you might take in fewer calories than you should, which triggers your bodys “starvation mode” and causes your metabolism to shut down). So how do you balance practicality and realistic expectations with a nutrition program that gets results? Here’s a solution thats a happy medium between strict calorie counting and just guessing: Create a menu using an EXCEL spreadsheet or your favorite nutrition software. Crunch all the numbers including calories, protein, carbs and fats. Once you have your daily menu, print it, stick it on your refrigerator (and/or in your daily planner) and you now have an eating “goal” for the day, including a caloric target. That is my definition of “counting calories” — creating a menu plan you can use as a daily guide, not necessarily writing down every morsel of food you eat for the rest of your life. If youre really ambitious, keeping a nutrition journal for at least 4-12 weeks is a great idea and an incredible learning experience, but all you really need to get started on the road to a better body is one good menu on paper. If you get bored eating the same thing every day, you can create multiple menus, or just exchange foods using your one menu as a template. Using this method, you really only need to count calories once when you create your menus. After you’ve got a knack for calories from this initial discipline of menu planning, then you can estimate portions in the future and get a pretty good (and more educated) ballpark figure. So whats the bottom line? Is it really necessary to count every calorie to lose weight? No. But it IS necessary to eat fewer calories then you burn. Whether you count calories and eat less than you burn, or you dont count calories and eat less than you burn, the end result is the same you lose weight. Which would you rather do: Take a wild guess, or increase your chance for success with some simple menu planning? I think the right choice is obvious. How Aggressive is Your Marketing?

By Charlie Cook Cathy, a business writer, emailed me and said, “Boy, do I need to work on my Web site this year!” I gave her a couple of ways to improve her site and had her look at several websites that sell effectively on the Internet. Her response was a common one; she thought those sites were marketing aggressively and she worried about turning her prospects off with a “hard sell.” Are you concerned about being too aggressive in your marketing? No one in business wants to be seen as the stereotypical used car salesman, who tries to sell you a lemon by claiming the car was owned by a little old lady who never drove it. And are prospects really convinced by promises that are too good to be true? “Start your own business and make $200,000 in just two weeks!” Then there are the salespeople who drive everyone crazy with their annoying cold calls at dinner time… You could try the “soft sell” approach; in your marketing materials, simply state your company’s name and include a list of the products or services you sell. This is a very common approach. But it doesn’t work. It’s true that if you’re too loud or annoying, you may scare your prospects away, but if you’re too subtle or you sound the same as the competition, no one will ever read your materials. Let me clear up one misperception right away. Aggressive marketing does not mean deceiving your prospects or deliberately pestering them. Don’t make claims that you can’t back up, and don’t annoy your prospects. You want them to become satisfied clients, after all. When you think of aggressive marketing you may think of being aggressive as “showing a readiness or having a tendency to attack or do harm to others”. Instead, think of aggressive marketing as “characterized by or exhibiting determination, energy, and initiative”. (Definitions from Encarta) When people read your marketing materials, your sales letters or your web site, you want to grab their attention, to impress them and to prompt them to contact you and buy from you. To get attention and do well, you need an aggressive marketing approach that demonstrates your determination, energy, and initiative. Remember your school days. If you sat in the back of the class and never raised your hand, never asked a question or participated in discussions, it was tough to get top grades. No matter how smart you are or how good you are at what you do, if you don’t let your prospects know how you can help them and convince them of your credibility, you won’t get their business. You want the people reading your sales letters or visiting your web site to contact you, get to know you, see you as the expert to rely on and buy from you. It’s reasonable to expect at least one out of ten web site visitors to contact you. Some of my clients are getting one out of five site visitors to contact them. If you’re not getting that kind of response, chances are that you’re not being aggressive enough in your marketing. How aggressive are you in your marketing? Take the 10 item quiz below to find out. Circle yes or no next to each question. 1. Have you written down your business goals for the next 12 months? Yes No 2. Is one of your goals to grow your list of qualified prospects by 5% each month? Yes No 3. Do you have a written marketing plan that guides your daily, weekly and monthly marketing activities? Yes No 4. Is the first and most prominent element in your marketing materials a one-sentence explanation of how you help your clients? Yes No 5. Do you feature client testimonials or case studies that provide proof of the results your products and services generate? Yes No 6. Is the first 50% or more of your marketing copy in your marketing materials focused on your prospects problems and concerns relative to your products and services? Yes No 7. In your s.ales letters and on your web site, do you use a free offer to prompt prospects to contact you? Yes No 8. Does your free offer prompt hundreds of people to contact you each week? Yes No 9. Do you follow up each prospect inquiry with an immediate response and at least 6 follow up contacts? Yes No 10. Do you continue to stay in touch with qualified prospects at least once a month, sharing an idea they can use and demonstrating the solutions you provide? Yes No Your Marketing Aggressiveness Score and What It Means Count the number of your “Yes” answers and see below. 1 to 3 You’re a marketing wallflower. You may be brilliant, and you may have great products and services, but your prospects have probably never heard of you and aren’t buying from you. Make a marketing plan and discover how to create a steady stream of prospects. 3 to 6 You are on your way to becoming a successful marketer and to growing your business. You just need to discover how to generate more leads and more sales. 7 to 10 You’re an aggressive marketer. You’ve been in business for at least a couple of years and understand the core marketing techniques that provide results. Next discover how to further increase your conversion rates and sell more to new and existing clients. Whether you scored 1 or 10 on the quiz, there are steps you can take to improve your marketing and grow your business. You understand what your prospects want; use your marketing to motivate them to buy from you. Remember that aggressive marketing is about demonstrating your determination, energy, and initiative. 2006 In Mind Communications, LLC. The Topic of Patentability

By Lisa Parmley For an object or idea to be patentable, it must fit into one of the following four categories; process, manufacture, machine or composition of matter. The subject matter must also be original, an unmodified, previously existing invention is never patentable. There must be a significant improvement over previous inventions for the new one to qualify. If two previous inventions are combined together, the combination must yield new and unexpected results for the invention to be considered patentable. In addition, an invention must be useful and must actually work in order for it to be patentable. A useful invention is one in which the object already has a utility without anyone having to pursue further research to identify or reasonably confirm the utility. So, if youve invented a nifty little widget or doodad, but havent got a clue as to what it could be used for, the PTO isnt going to be impressed and isnt likely to grant your patent. On the bright side, if an invention does not accomplish all of its intended functions or it only has partial success, it may still be patentable. In the case of newly developed drugs, the claimed invention only needs to treat a single symptom of an incurable disease for it to have usefulness. The Patent Office isn’t as strict on drugs and treatments (that’s where the Food and Drug Administration come in). The PTO has established that laws or forces of nature are not deemed patentable. Examples of these include, but are not limited to, the law of gravity or E=mc2. Computer related inventions may or may not be patentable. Computer programs that have a function when used with a computer are definitely patentable subject matter. Merely recording information (like music, literary works or data) on a computer-readable medium will not result in a patentable idea. Make a Smart Choice while Buying a Mobile Phone

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Keith_Rickwood]Keith Rickwood Mobile phones have gone a long way ahead leaving the consumer electronics devices far behind. Buying a mobile phone is more than a matter of picking up the most feature rich or slimmest looking device. Some people give priority to looks while choosing a mobile phone but you should also look for features and performance in a mobile phone along with the design. With a vast number of mobile phone brands available in the market, it is recommended that you should research on the features and the best deals available around. Gain as much as information you can get regarding features and the range of the latest models of mobile phones available. It’s important to know what your needs are and how they fit it with the various network providers offerings. It is often confusing to consider the options available when shopping for a mobile phone as new features for mobile phones grow day by day. To narrow your search, think about the following: Do you want to consider the size and weight as one of the factors while choosing your mobile phone? What features do you need in your mobile phone? What is your budget? Would you like access to the internet or email from your mobile phone? When you choose your mobile phone, you should also consider how long it can last on standby and how much talk time you have before recharging. A longer talk time could save you a lot of time and frustration, but if you do not talk on your phone a lot, it may not be necessary. No wonder mobile phones and mobile plans keep growing everyday but if you know what you want, you can select the best mobile phone for your unique lifestyle. Why Did Your Diet Fail You? Or Did You Fail Your Diet?

By Roy Thomsitt Are you someone who has, in the past, been on a diet, only to find at the end of it you had lost no weight? Despite putting your best efforts into the diet much of the time, and keeping quite close to recommendations when it came to calories and so on, for some reason things did not quite work out. Eventually, with the pounds drifting off too slowly and back on again too quickly, you just gave up, and went back to “normal”. The sad thing is that “normal” is what caused you being overweight in the first place, so it is not something you should really go back to. But, you say to your self: “I failed, but at least I gave it a go.” What adds to the sadness, though, is that you may have been a lot closer than you think to being successful in losing weight permanently through your diet. It could be that you made a few mistakes along the way which you could easily have rectified. Let us consider some of the possible reasons your diet plans may have slipped away. Regular Meal Times It is important that you stick to a good routine of three main meals a day. Also, do not forget to snack. That does not mean to help yourself to chocolate or any fattening junk food. Have something healthy, such as low-fat yogurt and dried fruits. It is not good to ignore your hunger, as that can lead to you getting very hungry for your next meal, and you could find yourself eating too much. Eat Only When You Are Hungry When you were on a diet before, did you find yourself eating for any reason apart from hunger? Sometimes we eat for other reasons, such as comfort or boredom, or out of habit we may devour junk food during a good movie or a big football match. Always think before you eat, and answer honestly: “Am I hungry?” If so, it’s meal time or healthy snack time; but it’s not junk food time. Keep Your Food Healthy And Diverse Is the food you are eating both healthy and varied? You should make sure your plate is full of diverse sources of vitamins and minerals, and include cereals, vegetables, fruits, eggs and milk in your daily diet . These kinds of foods stay in your stomach longer and give you more energy. Don’t Be Too Zealous Use your common sense when it comes to keeping check of calorie intake and other nutritional facts. If you make yourself feel too restricted, you will eventually feel like a prisoner in your own diet, and may be inclined to escape by giving up. Be kind to yourself, and not over zealous. Set your own rhythm for a steady weight loss, and that way youll get both the physical and the psychological satisfaction you need continue successfully with the diet. If you pay attention to these little details, they will assist you greatly in your next diet attempt. Add in some relaxation techniques such as yoga, and non fattening pampering, such as a sauna or massage now and again, and the whole experience will be much more of a pleasure than before, and will be more likely to succeed this time around. Cash Management: Best Global Practices

By Alexander Gordon Best cash management practices are the need of the hour with the corporate world focused on expanding its existing businesses and in many cases diversifying. Efficient cash management is a must to support an institutions growth and therefore adopting the best cash management practices is necessary. Adequate cash management mechanisms ensure efficient collection systems, systematic disbursements, and ideal deployment of idle funds, tiding over immediate cash needs, and compensating the banks that support these activities of the company. To achieve highest cash management standards, a companys compensation and accounting departments must work in coordination. Such close working relationships between the two vital departments ensure efficient treasury operations for the company. A company must also seek professional advice to install high-quality cash management devices to access essential financial data; such devices also enable the employees to format such data to make reports that are circulated among various departments to keep them updated on current happenings in the fields related to the companys business. Centralize, Automate and Standardize the Cash Management System: Centralizing the treasury function can maximize the efficiency of the liquidity available with a company. Centralized systems enable investments at higher yields, correct decision-making related to deployment of funds, reduce cash management expenses, and optimize the resources; automation enables straight-through-processing, ensuring higher efficiency of the treasury function. The technology allows a company to sweep and pool funds and invests the excess cash adequately; standardization helps in rationalizing the structure of a companys accounts. It ensures that the company establishes productive relationships with its clients and suppliers by enabling consolidation of information; digitization enhances the information flow, and initiations of transactions, payments and investment by using electronic and web sources. An advanced cash management system enhances the possibilities of earning high net interest income, creates efficient balance sheets, minimizes expenses on resources, and reduces the companys exposures to potential risks related to seasonality of business and debt repayments. Select the Right Provider of Cash Management Services: To benefit from the cash management practices, it is important that you chose an efficient provider of such services. While choosing such a service provider, think from the long-term perspective and not just a quick-fix solution to address temporary cash-related issues. Look for a service provider who offers you the maximum number of cash management solutions, so that you can do a comparative analysis of the products. It is important that the service provider has implemented solutions for cash management, liquidity management as well as relevant investment patterns. Low Fee Payday Loans

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Kristy_Annely]Kristy Annely Payday loans are short-term loans, which range from 13 days to 120 days. These are popular amongst individuals who require immediate cash funding between their paydays. Companies that offer such loans present them in a way that is attractive to people with fund flow problems. In their promotions, they soften factors such as the harsh terms of interest and the repayment of the payday loan and focus only on the quick approval process and minimum documentation. Typically, a low fee payday loan is an unsecured loan, granted for a relatively small sum of money Individuals, who can produce proof of employment are eligible for such loans. There are different ways to obtain a low fee payday loan such as in a small check-cashing outlet, a pawnshop and also online. The repayment of the loan begins with the next paycheck from borrowing the loan. A payday company ensures that the borrowers pay by acquiring post-dated checks on the day the loan is signed for. There is also another agreement referred as wage assignment, that allows the company to take 15% of ones wages out of the paycheck. Authorization is also agreed to, where the company can take money from the checking account. One important thing to be aware of is the finance charge applied to the cash till payday loan upon borrowing. In the case of a low fee payday loan, the charge is often lower than traditional payday loans. There will be a number of options available and the most suitable be chosen. These loans can get very expensive in a short time. The interest charges continue to add up on the loans so long as they are not repaid. If the loan is repaid earlier than required, there is no refund of applied interest. If this is not too worrisome, and it is possible to pay the loan back immediately upon receipt of paycheck, then a low fee payday loan might be the most practical choice. Natural Health Remedy - Feel Better More Quickly

By Alden Smith Being ill and feeling run down all the time is not the best way to enhance your productivity at work and your energy at home. The reality of this situation is that many people suffer from fatigue and don’t know that there is a simple remedy for it. When your body does not receive the correct amounts of the proper nutrients, it cannot carry out its everyday functions properly. This is often caused by a lack of vital nutrients in the body. In the meantime, you are expecting all kinds of things from your body. You might want it to deliver, but your inputs are just not creating the right outputs. Feeling lethargic, with a lack of energy and stamina is a sure sign of loss of natural nutrients in the body. Many natural health remedies will help you fight all these issues with which your body is faced. A natural health regimen will incorporate the right eating habits, which means your body will get the right food to help you keep fatigue and lethargy at bay. Natural health remedies come in many forms; these can be natural health products for internal and external use, natural health medicine or natural health tonics. As a consumer, you have a number of options. You should start with one product, build a regimen, and then move on to the next. A natural health remedy can also involve using natural health products to help you keep your body as healthy as you possibly can. Natural health remedies will help you maintain wellness, not simply treat the symptoms, as is the case in most of modern American medicine. Your body is like a car. It needs the right fuel, in the proper amounts, so that it can keep running at maximum performance. Natural health remedies will give you a helping and natural advantage in all the little everyday ailments that you are faced with. As a consumer, you have a number of options. You should start with one product, build a regimen and view the results, and then move on to the next. In addition to using natural health remedies, you should also learn what to eat and in what proportions, so you can prevent stress and fatigue. Changing your diet will have benefits that last beyond the day or the week; changing your diet will have a lifelong impact on your energy level and productivity. Many of the natural health remedies are praised for their fast and effective means of dealing with many of today’s ailments. Their long history is something that cannot be denied. Chinese herbal medicine has been around for centuries, and in the Western world, folk medicine is being proven by modern science to be based in fact. No longer is folk medicine viewed as an archaic tradition from the hill country of the Southern states. It is joining the mainstream of modern America because people are sick and tired of not only the cost of pharmaceuticals, but because many feel that doctors are simply “throwing” medicine at a problem instead of finding a cure. My own experience is an example of this. After knee surgery 3 years ago, I developed serious allergies that caused me to break out in hives on a daily basis. Nothing a prominent allergist or my family doctor has done can find the reason for these daily attacks, yet they “keep me going” by prescribing huge doses of Allegra and Tagamet. Out of pocket expenses for these medications, if I did not have co-pay, would be outrageous. This experience has caused me to become interested in natural herbal remedies and all things related to natural medicine. My quest for a cure has begun with research. I have developed a website, http://www.naturesherbalremediesonline.com, to address the issues facing people today who are seeking answers. The website is designed to be interactive, with a form on the home page designed for the reader to ask for more information and to give suggestions for topics. I urge everyone interested in natural herbal remedies to visit today, and leave your feedback. Alden Smith is a published and award winning author who’s website http://www.naturesherbalremediesonline.com informs and educates the person wanting to learn more about natural remedies. A martial artist, he focuses now on healing & natural cures. Expert Tips For Smooth, Healthy, and Beautiful Skin

By Alex Fir Beauty of the skin starts from inside your body! Your skin needs fresh air, exercise, a proper diet, minerals and vitamins and it needs protection from the sun. Many people just put skin cream on their skin, thinking it is going to make it soft and smooth. Skin cream on the skin feels soft and smooth, but if you want your skin to benefit from that cream, you need to dampen your skin first then add the cream. The cream will help retain the moisture in the skin. Start walking and building up your muscle tone. Muscle tone will keep your skin from looking so saggy. Keep your skin clean. Do not scrub your face. The face does not need scrubbing. And, neither does your back. In fact, the more you scrub on it, the more acne you can get and more trauma to your skin. A warm face cloth with a non-chemical soap, patted. Then a good gentle rinse. You next dry your face by patting with a soft clean towel. You can actually not use soap on your face at all, especially if you have dry skin. USE Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) as a perfect exfoliate for your face. A good cream should last a long time and not be expensive. Use it at night when you wash your face before going to bed. It is derived from fruit, milk and sugar cane and when used on the skin it helps remove the dead skin cells, which will give your face a much younger, fresher look. Easy, effective and cheap ways to do a mask are: Use an egg yolk and honey mask. Just mix one egg yolk with a little honey and spread it on your face and neck. When it dries, rinse it off. It makes your skin feel very soft. Another one: Use plain egg yolk. It is good for acne, too. Mix it up. Spread it on your face for 20 to 30 minutes. Rinse it off. Another one: Take plain egg white, beat up the egg white, and then spread it on your face until dry about 20 minutes, rinse off with water. This leaves your face refreshed and helps clean the pores.
